Most gorillas stay away from water. But, not Kit. When he lived at the Audubon Zoo, he liked to submerge himself in water with only his nose and one eye showing. His daughter, Kira, has inherited his affinity for water. Gorillas cannot swim, but it doesn’t stop Kit and Kira from splashing around when given the chance.

Kit loves to eat cantaloupe and other sweet fruits, as well as zucchini and corn on the cob, which he peels before eating. He is not fond of crickets and bugs.
