Okie is laid-back and calm. He is particularly fond of Kira and is best buddies with Little Joe.

Okie enjoys finger painting, which is used as a form of enrichment. Environmental enrichment encourages animals to use their natural abilities and behaviors to interact with their environment. A zookeeper uses novelty foods, sounds, smells, boxes, bags and toys to provide activities that stimulate all of the animal’s senses. While Okie has produced numerous works of art, zookeepers note he especially likes the food rewards he is given for his efforts.
